Holiday bake-a-thon
The bake-a-thon began this morning at 11:00 at Sara Coder's house. Within four hours we had holiday treats everywhere. Sara was more ambitious then I was. I stuck to the no-bake treats to kick off the season. I didn't want to be to daring right away and be a show off and then they turn out like junk. ha-ha!
Here are the pictures! We had a good time.
the outside patio was our freezer for the day! it worked GREAT!
My truffles called for white chocolate drizzle on the harden milk chocolate balls. So Sara tells me that her Mom microwaves everything even chocolate so I decided that since there wasn't a lot of white chocolate to melt I would melt it in the microwave. I put it in there for a minute, checked on it and stirred it. Then I left it for another minute and stirred it...still fine. By the next minute it was ruined. Sara failed to tell me that her Mom puts it in the microwace for 30 secs and stirs it each time. Needless to say the white chocolate was garbage and I ended up putting another bag in the double broiler. Always follow directions!
can't forget Ranger!
