Jonah is in Nashville
Jonah 2:4-9 (Jonah in the belly of the whale)
"4Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple. 5The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head. 6I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God. 7When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. 8They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. 9But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD."
This verse has been inspiring for both Chris and I. For us we are striving to come to the place where we are rejoicing and give thanks in the mist of the whale (situation) that we're in. As Jonah did when he was in the bottom of the belly of a whale. Riding the waves can actually be an adventure in itself. I was just mentioning to Chris the other day how we have done a lot of new things together since Nashville then when we were living in Minneapolis with security. We are trying to come to the place of security in God and not in ourselves. We are excited for the work that God is brewing in us and what is to come.
